Sylvester Shchedrin Russian Artist Landscape Painter

Sylvester Shchedrin (or Sil'vestr Feodosievič Ščedrin)(13 February 1791 - 8 November 1830) was born in St. Petersburg  into the family of the famous sculptor Feodosiy Shchedrin, rector of the Imperial Academy of Arts.

The young Sil'vestr studied at the Academy from 1800 to 1811 and finished his school career earning a gold medal with a painting titled Panorama island Petrovski
